4 years ago I returned to dirt biking after 26 years away (long story).
Things had changed. The bikes were different, radically faster and more
effective, to say the least. I rode and practiced a lot. As I got my
chops back I discovered one thing had not changed. Falling down still
hurt. Actually, it hurt a lot more. Being older and of considerably
increased mass, the thud at the end of each fall is not fun like when
I was a teenager.
I quickly learned from people much more up-to-date than I was, that
many of the gravity-related issues I was encountering came directly
from a certain fact. The fact was the bike I was ridding was set up
from the factory for that 150 pound teenager I mentioned. So after doing
some research of my own, I made a decision. I showed up at your door
with my CRF450R (2005) suspension in my hands. I believe my exact words
were..."help".
It was and remains one of the best decisions I have ever made. From
the moment I first spoke with your tech., to your phone check-up a day
ago, I am one of your most satisfied customers. The work done on my
Honda is magic! Your guys took careful notes on my size and ridding
style. Work was done quickly and by obvious experts. Re-valved and re-sprung,
I reinstalled the forks and shock along with the RG3 link. The difference
was simply stunning. The bike handles so much better I hardly know where
to begin. Now, instead of "gravity-related issues" I have
what I call "Suspension Moments". These would be those wonderful
little moments when I've over-cooked it going into a corner at the local
MX track, or down some high-speed desert trail. I am absolutely expecting
to go down hard, but the suspension just soaks up the mistake and leaves
me ridding along upright, mumbling nice things about you fine folks
at RG3. It's amazing. The bike is so much more stable and therefore,
more fun to ride. (read safer!)
Let me just say that, after a couple of seasons with your products,
I am utterly satisfied and a loyal customer. This last season I installed
your 4-post top triple clamp. It did exactly what it was advertised
to do... cut down on arm-pump. Honestly, I was skeptical, and carefully
evaluated it myself. The difference was profound. Like your suspension
work, it helps the rider enjoy the time on a bike so much more... What
more can a customer ask?
And as if all this wasn't enough, I get a call from time to time, just
to see if my equipment is OK and performing as it should. Not to sell
me anything, just a friendly checkup.Talk about customer support!!
For my part, anyone who asks, I will tell them..."Go to RG3. You
won't be disappointed". I smile when I think of some other rider
out there with the gas on a little too hard,...now shaking his head,
wondering why he's not bouncing helmet-first across the ground. Well,
just look at the stickers on your suspenders..."RG3". These
folks are here to help.

"I’m
35 years old, 6’4” 240lbs and was regularly pushing my stock
suspension past its limits. I became familiar with RG3 when I bought
a forward-and-up triple clamp last summer and I noticed an immediate
reduction in arm pump and fatigue. I don’t race; I only ride for
fun so I was hesitant to spend the money for a complete suspension re-valve.
With my stock suspension, unless I hit the back of a jump perfectly
my landings were harsh and squirrelly almost every time; my wrists and
ankles were taking a beating. I spoke with RG3 several times after my
triple clamp purchase and they told me what I could expect from their
suspension work. I was still having a hard time justifying the cost
due to my limited riding time.
The deciding moment for me came while watching a race on TV. I saw a
rider completely over-jump a huge set of doubles, land totally flat
and ride away smoothly without incident. I thought to myself, “there’s
no way I would’ve rode away from that.”
I contacted RG3 the next day, had my bike torn apart and shipped my
suspension to them the day after that.
About two weeks later I was riding a bike set up specifically for me.
The difference was remarkable. My confidence level is up, I’m
hitting jumps, pulling off landings and attaining speeds over the rough
stuff that I never would have before and I can actually feel myself
getting faster. In fact, all of our jumps actually feel smaller to me
now. This is the best money I’ve ever spent on my bike.
RG3’s suspension work not only enables you to become a better

"I thought
I would report on my findings after fitting the triple clamp (upper
and lower with 20mm offset) to my 2007 Kawasaki KXF450.
Prior to fitting the clamps the bike would over steer through corners,
stand up when I applied power and I was unable to hold lines in rutted
corners. The bike was unpredictable and would track where the bike wanted
to go instead of where I wanted the bike to go.
I immediately noticed the difference as soon as I rode the bike out
to the track. The difference is truly amazing and the RG3 clamps have
totally transformed the KXF450. There is no longer any over steer and
therefore I can apply power much earlier resulting in lower lap times.
In fact I shaved off 3 seconds (on a 1m.25s lap time track) off my best
ever time on my practice track and that was only after 6 laps of time
with the new clamps. The bike now stays glued to ruts and rails corners
like the bike is on tracks. I can now hold the inside lines (something
I have never been able to do on both the 06 and 07 model KXF450's) and
the bike turns like a 250.
I was so impressed with the RG3 clamps that I have also now had my suspension
done by RG3. The turn around time was phenomenal, I couriered the forks
and shock down on a Tuesday night, RG3 did the work on the Wednesday
and shipped it back to me that very night. I had the forks and shock
back in on Thursday morning.
And WOW. The transformation is quite incredible, This would have to
be the best suspension I have ever ridden on. The forks and shock are
just so plush yet they do not bottom out even over my 120ft tabletop
and 20 ft vertical drop off.
The bike tracks straight down whoops and through the stutter bumps.
The KXF450 in stock form has a tendency to kick out on braking and stutter
bumps and would wander over the track through whoops. The RG3 has solved
those traits and more. The upgrades are confidence inspiring and I have
shaved another 1.5 seconds off my practice track record. Thats a grand
total of 4.5 seconds in a single lap.
This has been the best modifications on my bike bar none. Forget about
engine upgrades and aftermarket pipes, if you want to get you lap times
down, have a confidence inspiring ride and have a bike that handles
like you have always dreamed of, then upgrade your bike with RG3 clamps
and suspension upgrades. You can ride your bike harder, faster and for
longer, . These mods have really made my bike fun to race. I can highly
recommend these clamps and suspension upgrades to all KXF450 owners.

for the great suspension work. I went riding last weekend and the more
time I spent in the saddle, the more I liked it. It felt a bit firm
at first but the harder I pushed the better it felt. As the track got
rougher I was able to just plow through square edge holes that normally
kicked the backend sideways like they weren't even there. I'm racing
at
Washougal this weekend and I can't wait to see how the bike performs.
The black anodizing sure turns heads. MANY people have come up and asked
about the suspension. Hopefully it will generate a few calls from the
Northwest as I spread the word about my positive experience with RG3.
